Liberty Weekend

I can make "S" curves in the snow with my board now :) That makes me a real snowboarder!! We went up to Liberty this weekend where it was really windy. And the snow was like ice chips but it was a good snowboarding day. Bryan came along too. He had never been snowboarding before.

I practiced toe side a lot more and finally got it down. I even learned how to do 360 degree turns those are so much fun :) David got toe side down too!! He picked it up before me :) He'll probably learn tricks and get better as he goes along because he learns fast. I was frustrated at one point...I didn't think I would ever get it...but I did later in the afternoon. I still want to perfect it but I think I am done for this season. I want a nice relaxing weekend for a change.

Here are a couple pictures of the view from up top Liberty mountain. The landscape was beautiful :)

Also I think I need to start eating better. All this fatty food is giving me tummy aches :( It doesn't make me feel good after I eat it.

Annnnnnd more sleep! Sleep is my favorite :)

A nammock sounds good right about now.... a nammock is a nap in a hammock :)

Sunday I got my oil changed...wooot!! And I visited Bob and Buz :) It feels like it was a busy weekend just based on how tired I am now so next weekend is going to be very chill.....hopefully >.<

This little guy came with me on my sunday errands....do not let that cute face fool you, haha :)

Toe Side

This weekend was a trip to Whitetail (more snowboarding? Absolutely!) Our mission: To learn how to go toe side! David just learned how to snowboard and he's really good now. But up until today neither of us knew how to board toe side. I have been snowboarding much longer and got really comfortable going heel side so I just never even tried toe side. Even when I did I felt off balance. But Sunny and Diana were determined to get me to learn it, David as well.

So we practiced and we both got the hang of it. I had some hard falls though...ouch. I usually have an easy time snowboarding but this time around was rough for a while since it was pretty hard for me. But I eventually got it :) I am still nervous at times on certain hills to try it but I'll just practice more and it should start to feel natural. Here are some pics of the mountain. I didn't get any pics of us snowboarding since I was too busy trying to learn toe side but maybe I'll become comfortable enough to take pics while boarding :)

It was nice weather today too :) The sun was very bright and I got sunburn on my face, haha. Also I am very sore and it feels good...even though I say "ow" a lot haha! Going back next weekend too. Cannot wait!!!

Disney on Ice

The company I work for is Feld Entertainment and they produce the Disney on Ice shows as well as Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus. Being an employee has its perks since I get free tickets to the shows every year. This week the show was in town at the Verizon Center and of course I was not going to miss this one...100 Years of Magic! Need I say more? I invited 10 other people and we all had a blast. Here are some pictures from that night :)

I cannot wait until the next show! I want to see the Circus because I have never been to one and I'm sure it's going to be awesome :)

Sweetest Valentine Ever :)

I have never been a fan of Valentine's Day. I loved it as a kid, you know when your whole class would get involved and everybody brought candy and cards to distribute for the whole class. I remember every year I always ended up with a basket full of sweets ranging from candy hearts to little chocolate hearts and looney tune cards :) I miss those days.

Anyway, that all changes when you get older. V's Day just becomes a reminder for those who do not have someone special in their lives, that they're alone. Which is probably why I would ignore the whole "day" and would count down the hours until February 15th. This year was very different from the rest :) Monday I spent the evening with Achilles which is why I put a couple pictures up of us :)

We're both dorks!!

Let me show you what happened on my V's Day. I have never had a Valentine before, ever. At work, one of the lady's I work with, Vickie, brought our department some heart shaped donuts. Yummy!!! I saved one for David :) Guess which one he got?

I received flowers and a teddy bear while at work. I have never gotten flowers from someone, other then my dad. What a wonderful surprise!!!

I got the little tigger for David. He likes wild cats, such as lions and tigers so I thought he would like it :) That's my teddy next to him.

Guess who made me dinner??? A salmon dinner!! I love salmon and it was delicious. David is not a fan of fish but he made this just for me. It was ready when I walked through the door of his place. It smelled good :) The wine was delicious too!

We had rainbow jello for dessert....also very yummmy :)

Thank you Sweetie for being my Valentine and for making it a perfect Valentine's Day :) I hope everyone else out there had a good day, whether or not you have someone to share it with or if you're single and just want to buy and eat the entire chocolate heart box by yourself (or was that just me?) I hope you didn't let it bring you down because next year could be your year :)

Anya is finally 21!!!

I didn't have work today and I will tell you why. It's because I'm awesome, duh! Ha, but really it's because I requested this day off of work because David and I planned on going to Wisp with Lejia and Hyo from Sunday-Monday where we would stay at a cabin and have a good time snowboarding, drinking, hot tubing, whatever we wanted. But we were still tired from Snowshoe from two weeks before and money was an issue...and Anya's 21st birthday was the same day. So we decided not to go.

So Monday was a free day for me. David decided to go into work for half a day. After he came back he wanted to go to a gun range nearby and do some shooting because he hasn't done it in so long.

What you need to know is that David has always wanted to own a gun. For safety reasons. But he told me if I was uncomfortable with guns or having a gun in the house then he would scrap the idea and not get one. I find guns very intimidating and that's really my only issue. I have never held a gun or shot a gun and I don't understand how they work. Basically I am very ignorant when it comes to guns and gun safety.

Well I went to the gun range with David because I was curious and I wanted to see what it was all about. The guy that got us started was a guy who talked very fast but he knew what he was talking about. He got David set up with two guns and 100 rounds and then we went back to the shooting range. I watched, David did all the shooting, haha :)

David is actually a really good shot. He said he tried alternating between head shot and chest shot so that's why some of his shots are scattered but from where I was standing it looked really good. I was impressed. Btw gun shooting is very loud. Especially the guy with the rifle next door...wow that thing was loud and scary. So that was my first gun range experience. It made me feel better about guns because I learned a few things about them and I got to hold one a little bit so it wasn't that intimidating.

I would be fine with David owning a gun. He would put it away in a safe off to the side so it would be easily forgotten about but always there if needed. (But hopefully it never has to be used)

Monday night was Anya's 21st birthday dinner at Hokkaido Chinese Buffet. The food was delicious...I think I ate too much though...even though it was a buffet so you're meant to eat as much as you can. But still it was very yummmy :)

Anya's first drink being 21...saki

After we ate we all went to Cafe Tu Ah (minus the parents) and had several rounds of drinks in celebration of Anya's birthday. I had never had a flaming dr. pepper before so the one we had at the Cafe was my first and it was so yummy. I wanted more of it :)

We didn't stay out too late since it was a Monday night...so we left after 11 pm. It was a really good night and I hope Anya had fun and enjoyed herself :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANYA!!!!

Dogs think they're models

Just some pictures I took of Achilles on Saturday.

Either he is aware of how handsome he is ... or it could be his love of human food ... and cheese that bring out his adorable side :) who could resist that face?

There are a lot of things I have learned about dogs while having Achilles. Some times are good and some times are frustrating but as long as he is happy and we love him that's all that matters :)

Saturday, with no sun

It was supposed to be in the 50's on Saturday and also I was expecting sunshine but apparently it was supposed to rain...lame! The whole day was cloudy and a little rainy :(

Well, Dorsa and I had a lot planned for Saturday. We wanted to go to Lake Accotink to take pictures and walk the dogs, go to the doggie park so Achilles and Ella could play with other dogs and go to the jeweler so Dorsa could drop of her ring for cleaning and so I could figure out what my ring size is ;)

David and I started off in the morning going to the doggie park because we wanted to see how Achilles would do there since last time he was over excited and anxious and growling at other dogs so we wanted to test it out again. In the beginning he was good, he let other dogs approach and he was polite. But then he got aggressive with this shaggy dog so we had to leave.

Then we headed over to Dorsa's and let Ella and Achilles play it out in the back yard. They ran around for 10 or 15 minutes and I'm sure it wore out Achilles a lot. After that we went for a walk at Lake Accotink. It would have been so perfect if it had been sunny out but it was still nice to be outside and take some pictures and let the dogs enjoy the outdoors.

After the walk Dorsa and I went to Charleston Alexander to get her ring polished and for me to find out my ring size...apparently I am a 6 and a half.

After that we were both starving so we got pho. So good!!! I decided to get the steak rather then the chicken (like I always do) and the cold coffee because I know how good it is and I wanted it :)

After all that Dorsa and I went back to my place and I got the rest of my things together and headed over to David's place. Achilles was so tired from the whole day he just passed out on the floor shortly after I arrived.

He didn't even budge when I got up close to him...awwww.

It was a good day despite not having sun and driving in the rain up to Rockville. But all in all it was really nice :)

Date Night :)

Every couple needs to do date night every now and then, maybe even once a month would be good. This Friday was our date night and it was also our 5 month anniversary yaaaaaay :)

I dressed up in my new blue dress and new black boots (since it was chilly out) and we headed out to Kingstowne Center for Bonefish Grille...omg it was amazing!!! We started off with an appetizer, the bang bang shrimp, so delicious, ugh I want some right now!

When we were finished with that our waiter was reading us the specials and she suggested the wolf fish...sounded cool already and then she went on to describe it and I was sold...that was what I wanted and David agreed he wanted the wolf fish too :) Probably the best fish on the menu or maybe even on the menu it was fantamazing (fantastic and amazing in one yeah)!!

The potatoes au gratin as our side was also amazing and just perfect and the whole meal went well with the wine I ordered :) We were so full after dinner that we didn't even want dessert. Afterwards we went to the movie theatre that is right next door and saw One for the Money.
That was a good movie, I really enjoyed it.

It was a really fun date night, the food, the movie, the guy :) were all amazing.
Thank you, sweetie for an awesome night!!

Spring, Get Here Faster

I am so over you, Winter!!! We break up now!! It is time for some warm, breezy weather :)

Ah that is much better :)

p.s. step on it would ya!!! please, and thank you!

Also, an after-thought. I think if I were to pick a month to get married I would want to do it in April. I think April is a nice month.
