Oh Hai...23 Today, eh?

Today is my Birthday!!! J So I am 23 now, not as cool as 22, however but still pretty awesome! I took off work today so that I could treat myself to a whole day of doing whatever the hell I wanted, mwahaha!

I wanted to go to the pool today but as soon as Aki and I arrived, there was thunder off in the distance so they closed the pool until the storm would pass. In the meantime, Aki and I went to the mall to pass the time and explore whatever stores tickled our fancy. We ended up at Forever 21 and admired all the accessories that they had to offer. Had some fun joking around with the necklaces and giving names to the various animal necklaces we found. I found a really pretty, golden elephant necklace and Aki said she would buy it for me as a gift for my birthday. I love it! I think I will wear it all week J Aki also found really awesome eye shadow that’s really shimmery and sparkly, so we both bought some, teehee!

Then we were hungry so we went to Cheesecake Factory, yummm. I got fettucini alfredo and Aki got a salad (trying to be healthy, good for her!)

Then it was time for our mani’s and pedi’s!!!! I love getting these, they make me feel really nice and clean. I picked a Barbie pink color for both my nails and toe nails, haha! It looks cute O.o Plus I noticed that I get the same sweet lady to do my nails every time I go in, she’s always the friendly, laughing lady. So that was really nice!

Then I went home and got ready for dinner with friends at Sakura, a delicious Japanese Steakhouse where the chef cooks food in front of you, it’s awesome! Our chef was really cool and liked doing small gags to make us jump! Everyone thought it was the same chef from 3 years ago when I had my birthday dinner at Sakura when I turned 20…he probably was and his name was David…go figure! :P

All in all, it was a really awesome Birthday night and thank you everyone who came. It made my evening! J Check out this Brownie I got from Jo!

Birffday Weekend!!!

This birthday weekend before my actual birthday (which is Monday) was a lot of fun! Friday evening was Uncle John's surprise party where we had bbq chicken and crabs! Yummm! I didn't take any pictures of the food, I forgot...oops! But it was a good time and I got to see the Robbins, especially Tasya who is gone a lot :( I stayed later then everyone else but eventually got tired headed home. Check out this cutie pie named Kylie :)

Saturday I didn't do much during the day. Until later in the day around 5 I met up with Tasya, Hana, Hyo, Trina, Kevin and Michael for putt putt golf in Alexandria. We took Kevin's and Michael's trucks, they're pretty awesome to ride in! The course was big and it was a lot of fun and everyone could feel the heat pouring off of them even at night when the sun wasn't even out! Holy cow it was super hot soup!!!!!!

Michael is always fun to be around and can be a total goof. I love this picture! Hahahaha! :)

Just a couple of golf pro's, eh? :)

Sunday, I spend a couple hours with Tasya and Hana at the mall. I bought some cute pj's from victoria's secret for myself. I had a $10 off gift card for my birthday so I had to use it! Then came time for my birthday dinner with my family. The food was delicious!!!! We had salad, lasagna and garlic bread, as a special request by me :)

Then we had delicious cake that was oozing in brownies and fudgy goodnessss!!!!

Also I got a bunch of gifts from peoples :) All I wanted for my birthday was a new purse, because my old one was completely fallen apart! So I was really surprised when I got THAT (a Sak purse from Dorsa and Erik) and more stuff. My mom and dad got me a dress from the eastern market. It was so cute and very Me :) My mom also got me chocolate covered raisins and miklk chocolate covered toffee popcorn...mmmmmm I just died! Oh and hoisan sauce...soo goooodd on chicken!!! I also got a cook book from sperbeny called "Anybody can Cook" so naturally this is a book for me! I also got a nice, green blouse from Dorsa's mom, Maryam :) Thank you to everyone for making it a very special birthday evening for me. But my actual Birthday Day is yet to come!! :)

A Week of Delicious Food!

So it's been about a week since I last made a post on this bloggy. My photo's were not uploading so I decided to give it a break and wait until they would upload!

Last week my roomie, Catherine made some home made salsa cakes!!! It's a sweet cake (kinda like corn bread only flat) with home made salsa and a spicy mexican sauce...with sour cream!!!! Ohhh myyy Goddd! It was delicious like whoa! The picture does not do it justice. I had some for dinner and for lunch the next day!

Saturday morning, I met up with Dorsa, Erik, Ava and Mariam at the Bike store where Ava was getting a new bike. I was thinking of stopping by the Sprint store to look at cell phones and there happened to be one right next door...so I went inside and bought an Epic Android !! :) I really needed a new cell phone haha!

Saturday night, I went out with Laurene, Aki and Harmony and we got frappe's and bing-soo ice cream at Breeze! It was my first time trying bing-soo and it was soo good! It's frozen bean crushed among fruit such as strawberries, oranges, kiwis, melons and cantelope. I highly recommend trying it.

Sunday I went to the pool with Harmony and then went to Costco and Fair Oaks with Dorsa and Erik. Got a new dress and sandals and got some milk and cereal...the essentials, haha! It was also my Dad's birthday and we had pulled pork and potatoe salad. That was delicious! I had some for lunch today too! :)

4th of July and the NAT's!!!!

Sunday I spent the afternoon with my co-worker Christina at her 4th of July Barbeque. It was a lot of fun, I met some new people and even gave out my phone number to a girl who seemed really cool and could possibly hang out with. The food was great and there was definitely a lot of it!!! :) I didn't take any pics because I didn't know anyone and I wanted to be attentive and not be distracted by my camera. Next time!

Then the NAT's game for the 4th!!! I had never been to a NAT's game so I was really excited! Our seats were good, we could see the game and we knew what was going on so yay!!! Got some salty fries and then some gelato ice cream, strawberry and mango...soooo gooooood :)

Also there was this baby sitting in front of me and Dorsa and he was very cute and we sorta couldn't stop looking at him, especially Dorsa (who is baby crazy) could not get over how much she wanted that baby and to take him home!

Then the trek back home was fun. It was hot and muggy and I was really thirsty. We finally made it home and arrived at Bob and Dad's house for some delicious burgers, hot dogs, and potatoe salad...oh and corn!!! I didn't take pics of that though. That's what Dorsa does, hahahaha!

It was a very fun 4th of July weekend. Now I am le tired and will post the next awesome event when it occurs!

First Days of July

It was my parent's 29th anniversary on July 1st! Wow, that's a long time, yay bob & dad :)

Got off of work early on Friday for the 4th of July weekend and had a picnic with Dorsa, Erik, Katie B, and Hyo. It was delicious! I got to witness Katie B crossing off one of her "to dos" on her 101 in 1001 list. Needless to say it was hilarious and was weird enough to create several opportunities to throw in some very dirty jokes haha! Look at the delicious food, yummy! We also had s'mores with these giant marshmellows and reese's cups...so good but so much sugar haha. I wanted to die!

That same night we went bowling and it was awesome! We danced around like a bunch of fools but we were still very cool!

Saturday morning I met Ava, Dorsa, Erik and Lejia at that pool. It was very nice and sunny! Ava helped me dye my hair after the pool. I like it a lot and I think I will do this color again in a couple months. Thanks Ava :)

Well that's all for now. This 4th of July weekend is not over yet!
