I'm going to be an Aunt -- to a Nephew!!

Does that sound right? Haha. Well anyway I'm going to have a nephew and that is awesome because...it just is!!! Dorsa really wanted a boy and I was convinced once she announced she was pregnant that it was a boy -- and it really is, so happy splory :)

Erik and Dorsa had a gender reveal party on Sunday so our friends and family could be a part of the surprise and excitement of finding out whether they're having a boy or a girl. So of course the party was fun/suspenseful, especially leading up to the reveal which they did by cutting a cake that had either blue or pink frosting inside to reveal 'you're having a boy, or you're having a girl'. Also everyone was encouraged to wear either pink or blue for what gender they thought the baby would be. So it was really cute and I am so happy for them both!! Here are some pics from that day :)

The Mama and future Aunts minus Anya

What a gorgeous evening to spend with everyone. The Redskins lost but it was still a good weekend. I hope my first is a boy, just saying ;) No babies anytime soon though!

The weather was great for the whole weekend. Sunny and warm during the day but really nice at night :) It was awesome spending time with David and his mom down in New Orleans. It was even more awesome to have the Redskins win there first regular season game with their rookie QB for an away game!! How often does that happen? Annnnd we were there to see the whole thing go down in New Orleans, because apparently this was history in the making for the Redskins :) We have to go back sometime. It's a really nice city. Go Redskins -- Beat those Rams this weekend!!!!
