Wednesday was the 4th of July ... I don't like it when a holiday happens mid week. I prefer having a longer weekend but it was still a good holiday :) Tuesday night, Diana and Sunny invited us over for brats, beer and potato salad. It was really delicious! We started off outside in their backyard but then the clouds started rolling in and then the wind picked up and we headed inside. Annnd then we prayed it wasn't another heat storm where we would lose power....thankfully it was not.

David came alittle later but he was just in time to have brats and beers (although he wasn't that hungry). After we finished eating we all went downstairs to play rock band. I can only do the singing roll, bad with drumming and guitar. But I wasn't feeling the singing that night since I usually mess up the melodies of those classic rock songs I have never heard before. Sunny is really good at it, though :)
David played the guitar and Erik did the drums.
Lots of fun staying up late and playing music.
Wednesday night was fun! Lejia had everyone over for a BBQ and of course the food was delicious! All the guys (and some of us girls) played flip cup outside...such a fast game but so much fun!
We ended up not going to the fireworks because the heat was unbearable so we watched fireworks on tv. Also the neighbors across the street had a bunch of fireworks so we watched theirs. It was pretty cool!!!
That last one was awesome!!
Achilles was running around so much that evening, he tired himself out! I like a sleepy boy!
Good 4th of July despite the heat :) Now only 2 more weeks until our vacation...ahh looking forward to all the packing!!
